Telenor Cyberdefence AS is a wholly owned, newly started Nordic cyber security company in the Telenor Group. Telenor Cyberdefence AS' ambition is to become a leading MSSP (Managed Security Services Provider) in the Nordic market, among other things by using Telenor's unique access to threat intelligence to support our services. In addition to delivering modern managed security services, Telenor Cyberdefence AS also offer specialist expertise through our consultancy and Offensive Security teams.      

We are now seeking a Tech Lead – Microsoft and MDR who will take technical ownership of our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service, based on Microsoft Sentinel and the Microsoft Defender Suite. The position is based at our headquarters in Fornebu, Oslo.

Key responsibilities:

• Take technical ownership and architecture responsibility for our flagship MDR service, based on Microsoft Sentinel and the Microsoft Defender suite

• Responsible for technical design and implementation of the MDR service

• Operate and manage a Microsoft based MSSP service with a focus on continuous detection improvement, incident handling, and threat response.

• Close alignment and working relationship with Product Management

• Alignment with Product Management for services development and improvement

• Responsible for implementing roadmap and backlog to technical design and implementation

• Evaluate and adopt new security functionality from Microsoft, including private-preview features, to strengthen Telenor Cyberdefence’s services.

• Translate customer requirements into concrete technical configurations and integrations across Microsoft’s security portfolio.

• Participate in implementing new functionality to the delivery platform

• Support our dedicated platform team and detection team with design of KQL queries, automation workflows and Logic Apps (SOAR), and customized playbooks for customers.

• Facilitate technical collaboration between our SOC, IR, CTI, Detection, Pentest, departments.

• Assist in customer meetings and customer dialogue

• Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and represent Telenor Cyberdefence at conferences and industry events

We believe you have the following qualifications and personality skills:   

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Microsoft Security technologies in an enterprise or MSSP context.

• Proven experience with Microsoft Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR) and the Microsoft Defender suite in production environments.

• Experience operating cloud-based security solutions and scalable MSSP environments.

• Strong understanding of identity and access management (Entra ID), and cloud security architecture, as well as security principals, such as Zero Trust and least privilege. Ability to balance customer-specific requirements with standardized MSSP processes.

• Fluency in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
